Hi, friends.
So far we’ve covered the home decor, scarf, and mitten categories. Today let’s check out something for the stylish person in your life. This one is named for a man, but I love seeing a woman in a necktie, too.
If you’re looking for a thoughtful knitted gift for the debonair person in your life, today’s pattern is for you. Nicholas Necktie is a handsomely-textured, full-fashioned necktie that begins as a tube for the “show” part and then is reduced to a single-thickness ribbed section to go around the neck. There’s even a little keeper on the back to keep the tail tidy. Less than 200yds of a fingering weight yarn is all you need - I used a merino silk blend (the yummy, sadly discontinued Shibui Staccato). Any silk blend yarn will give you a bit of a gleam and show off the Quilted Lattice stitch (written and charted), while 100% wool would be a quietly handsome choice.
For today take 50% off the Nicholas Necktie pattern with code ADVENT2021 in either of my pattern shops.
I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Happy knitting!
xxoo, Kathleen
