Hi, I’m Kathleen Dames, and this is The Knit. It’s completely free to access and read, but if you would like to support my work, please consider a paid newsletter subscription for $5 per month or $50 annually. Thank you! Your support helps me create more knitting patterns and fun content ad-free. Thank you so much.
How about a little something covered in cables and twisted stitches, leaves and bobbles? In the Queen’s Wood is a lovely little project that will keep your shoulders warm like a shawl but with shaping to keep it in place. I added a fantastic clasp shaped like two fox heads, though you could also use a button closure or tie it shut with a bow.
In the Queen’s Wood was originally published in the second Fall issue of Filament (where Anne and I did a head-to-head on four different yarns - this was my Harrisville flyWHEEL design, and it’s a great yarn).
Until tomorrow…
xxoo, Kathleen
