The Knit No. 12 | Virgo Season
Hi, friends.
It’s less than two weeks until my very big, round-numbered birthday. Eep. I’m ready for it, but I’ve got a lot of feelings (and some hot flashes - joy).
So, that means there will be some super duper discounts come September 13th, which will give you some time to draw up your wish lists and think about Fall yarns. It will also give me some more time to get my derrière in gear to get my patterns up in my Payhip shop because that didn’t happen in August.
What did happen in August? I finished knitting Faina Letoutchaia’s Forest Path Stole (heads up: that’s a Ravelry link), an entrelac lace extravaganza, that was a fun and engrossing knit, and quite an experience for my first bit of entrelac. Check it out in its pre-blocked state:
It’s gonna be huge once blocked! I will photograph it properly once the weather gets reasonable. We’ve had heat and tropical storminess here in NYC, so wrapping myself up in a wool-silk blend (as lacy as it may be) is just a nope for me.
Normally I’m knitting like a mad woman getting patterns ready for Fall, but this year I decided to take a break (we will be looking at high schools and colleges this Fall for the girls, so producing a lot of work just wasn’t in the cards for me and my sanity), and knitting someone else’s pattern was pretty freeing.
What did you knit this summer? Let us know in the comments!
So, it’s just a quick “hi!” from me, but you’ll hear from me on the big day with presents for you. Until then enjoy the start of September.
xxoo, Kathleen
